Every passing day brings more blood-boiling news stories centered on the great disconnect between, on the one hand, economic reality, private property, and the limits of government action, and on the other hand, the fantasies harbored and promulgated by our Overlords in their incessant attempts to impose their fantasies upon the rest of us mere mortals. This disconnect, coupled with the pervasive ignorance and inability of the masses to think beyond the conventional wisdom, and trace effect to cause, has left us vulnerable to losing the freedoms cherished and fought for by our Forefathers.
While this blog is my chosen means to observe and occasionally rant on these existentially important issues, with the hope of at least elevating the debate beyond politics to something more philosophical and intellectually challenging, I must take a brief hiatus for the next three weeks, as I dedicate all of my free time to preparing to sit for the Massachusetts bar exam.
I look forward to regaining the freedom of time that preceded my decision to attain a law degree, so that I can continue to make my albeit small contribution to whatever debate is still allowed in this decreasingly free country of ours.
Hopefully, we can win this debate -- before our Founding Fathers have completely rolled over in their graves.
In Liberty,
Brian M.
